SUNSHINE LEAGUE Marlborough 1, Marymount 1 Elizabeth Duval scored in the 56th minute for visiting Marlborough (4-2-1, 0-0-1), which outshot Marymount, 14-8. NONLEAGUE Buckley 4, Bell-Jeff 1 Alexandra Gatti, Emily Zucker, Catherine Ortiz-Benze and Emily Turner each scored for host Buckley (3-2). Gatti leads the team with eight goals on the season. Santa Margarita 1, Trabuco Hills 1 Leigh Edwards scored for visiting Santa Margarita (6-0-2) and Jacky Samis for Trabuco Hills. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 TOURNAMENTS DUARTE Championship game Burbank 2, Temple City 0 Alexandra Amela and Coco Austin each scored for Burbank (5-0). NONLEAGUE Pasadena 4, Rosemead 3 Jose Valladares scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 65th minute for host Pasadena (5-0). Maranatha 2, La Canada 0 INTERSECTIONAL Chaminade 1, El Camino Real 1 Lauren Batung scored in the 70th minute to tie the game for host Chaminade (2-2-3). Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 SUNSHINE LEAGUE Notre Dame Academy 2, Marymount 0 Goalkeeper Amanda Klalisa had 10 saves to clinch a shutout win for Notre Dame Academy (6-1-1, 1-0). NONLEAGUE Brentwood 4, Malibu 0 Amanda Lisberger, Caitlin Blosser and Dani Maron each had one goal and one assist to lead Brentwood (5-3) to victory over Malibu. Kelly McCarthy added a goal for the Eagles. Buckley 4, Pasadena Marshall 3 Alexandra Gatti scored all four goals, three in the second half for host Buckley (2-2). The junior forward has seven goals this season. Crossroads 1, Windward 1 Elyse Antin scored one goal for host Crossroads (1-4-2) in the tie with Windward. Garden Grove 1, Glenn 1 Eileen Ruvulcaba scored, helping Garden Grove (2-1-3) gain a tie with Glenn. Vanessa Ochoa scored for host Glenn La Reina 3, Fillmore 0 Brianna Stafford, Brooke Ellias and Jillian DeGennaro each scored and Mikayla Mejia assisted on all three goals for the victorious Regents (7-1). La Salle 1, Flintridge Prep 0 Alexa Weigand scored off a corner in the second half for the lone goal as host La Salle (2-1) beat Flintridge Prep. Santa Margarita 2, Woodbridge 0 Leigh Edwards and Lauren Bohaboy each scored one goal for Santa Margarita (6-0-1) in the victory over Woodbridge. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 4, Burbank Burroughs 1 Melissa Lopez tallied twice, and Morgan Ritter and Jessica Wiblin also scored to lead Notre Dame (5-0-2) past host Burroughs. Temescal Canyon 6, Elsinore 3 Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 TOURNAMENTS ALISO CUP Third Place El Toro 1, Los Alamitos 1 (El Toro wins on penalty kicks, 3-2) Championship Semifinals Long Beach Wilson 2, El Toro 0 NONLEAGUE Downey Calvary Chapel 2, Brethren Christian 1 Glendale 4, Schurr 0 INTERSECTIONAL San Pedro 2, West Torrance 1 Senior forward Alyssa Mullenhour of San Pedro (2-2) opened the scoring 20 seconds into the second half on a pass from freshman forward Amenade Brown. In the 43rd minute, visiting West Torrance (4-1-1) tied the score when Megan Cunningham knocked in a ball that bounce off the goal post. Brown scored the game-winning goal in the 47th minute when she took a ball in the air six meters from the goal. San Pedro goaltender Chanell Crawford made a critical save in the 76th minute. |
