SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I champion. CIF-Southern Section Division I co-champion. Wilson won four major tournaments this season and posted wins over six current FAB 50 teams, three other teams that spent time in the FAB 50. Wilson split a pair of matches with Cathedral Catholic, winning 3-0 and losing 2-1. The team was led by Danielle Russell, a candidate for CIF-Southern Section Player of the Year honors and Pepperdne-bound keeper Lacey Heck. Wilson allowed only nine goals against a scheduled that included 11 FAB 50 opponents.
2 Cathedral Catholic San Diego CA 24-2-5 4
SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division II champion. CIF-San Diego Section Division III champion. Cathedral Catholic rolled to the SCR title by outscoring three opponents 13-2. With seven Division I signees, many to major universities, Cathedral Catholic makes a claim to No. 1 in the San Diego area.
3 Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks CA 21-5-3 42
SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I runner-up. CIF-Southern Section Division II champion. Thousand Oaks, which got off to a rough start in December, became the surprise of March at the SCR. The team knocked off then No. 1 Torrey Pines in the quarterfinals and edged then No. 3 San Clemente on PKs before falling to current top-ranked LB Wilson in the final. The Lancers ended the season with an 11-0-3 run in its final 14 matches.
4 Torrey Pines San Diego CA 21-1-4 1
SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I quarterfinalist. CIF-San Diego Section Division I champion. Torrey Pines' bid for a second straight FAB 50 national title ended with a 1-0 loss to Thousand Oaks in the SCR quarterfinals. TO's lone goal was a penalty kick three minutes from regulation.
5 San Clemente San Clemente CA 23-3-6 3
SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I semifinalist. CIF-Southern Section Division I co-champion. San Clemente's season included wins over Mater Dei, Aliso Niguel and Monte Vista.
6 Aliso Niguel Aliso Viejo CA 15-3-8 5
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I semifinalist. Aliso's season ended with a loss to Long Beach Wilson. During the regular season, Aliso defeated eventual LA City champ El Camino Real and played to a draw and a loss with San Clemente. In the postseason, Aliso defeated Santa Margarita and Los Alamitos.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF Southern Section Division I semifinalist. Mater Dei lost to San Clemente in the semifinals. During the regular season, Mater Dei defeated San Clemente. In the postseason, Mater Dei favored Esperanza.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-North Coast Section Class 3A champion. San Ramon Valley earned the section's top ranking through a playoff showing that included a win over Monte Vista in the semifinals and a PK result over Foothill in the final.
9 Foothill Pleasanton CA 16-3-5 8
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-North Coast Section Class 3A runner-up. Foothill upset top-seeded Castro Valley in the semifinals before falling to San Ramon Valley on PKs in the section final. During the regular season, Foothill drew twice with Monte Vista.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-North Coast Section Class 3A semifinalist. Castro Valley's stellar season, which included an early-season win over Monte Vista, ended with a semifinal loss to Foothill in the section tournament.
11 Monte Vista Danville CA 18-3-5 10
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-North Coast Section Class 3A semifinalist. Monte Vista's outstanding season, which included a dominating win at the Nolan Showcase in Texs and a runner-up finish in the Tri-Valley Classic, ended with a loss to San Ramon Valley in the section semifinals. Monte Vista graduates 10 seasons who have signed with NCAA Division I programs.
12 Santa Margarita Rancho Santa Margarita CA 13-3-8 11
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I quarterfinalist. After finishing behind Mater Dei in league play, Santa Margarita reached the section quarterfinals before losing to Aliso Niguel.
13 Los Alamitos Los Alamitos CA 20-6-3 12
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I quarterfinalist. Los Alamitos, which was ranked No. 1 locally, lost to Aliso Niguel in the section quarterfinals. During the season, Los Alamitos split with Esperanza, winning the most recent contest.
14 Esperanza Anaheim CA 20-4-2 13
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section quarterfinalist. Esperanza's bid for a national title was ended with a loss to Mater Dei in the section quarterfinals.
15 Burlingame Burlingame CA 23-0-2 14
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Central Coast Section Division II champion. Burlingame defeated Presentation in the final after presentation stunned Archbishop Mitty.
16 Mayfair Lakewood CA 27-3-4 17
  SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I semifinalist. CIF-Southern Section Division III co-champion. Mayfair lost to LB Wilson 1-0 in the semifinals. The highlight to Mayfair's regular season was a draw with Mater Dei in early December.
17 Buena Ventura CA 12-6-4 16
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I quarterfinalist. Buena tends to be an underrated team every season, and this year backed it up with a strong postseason run that ended with a 1-0 loss to Long Beach Wilson. Along the way, Buena knocked out Los Osos 3-0 in the second round.
18 Carondelet Concord CA 17-2-5 18
SEASON COMPLETE. North Coast Section Class 3A quarterfinalist. Carondelet lost to San Ramon Valley in the playoffs. During the season, Carondelet tied Los Osos and Archbishop Mitty from outside the section.
19 Kamehameha School Honolulu HI 13-2-0 19
SEASON COMPLETE. Hawaii Division I state champion. Kamehameha defeated league rival Punahou 1-0 in the state final. It marked the third straight title for Kamehameha.
20 Punahou Honolulu HI 12-2-2 20
SEASON COMPLETE. Hawaii state runner-up. Punahou, which won three state titles from 2003-2005 became the victim of Kamehameha's third straight state title this year. To reach the final, Punahou pinned the only loss on Pearl City.
21 Los Osos Rancho Cucamonga CA 17-5-5 21
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I second-round finisher. Los Osos' season ended with a 3-0 loss to Buena.
22 Mountain Pointe Phoenix AZ 13-10-1 22
SEASON COMPLETE. Class 5A Division I state champion. Mountain Pointe, at No. 11, became the lowest seed to win a girls soccer state title after it surprised Gilbert on PKs in the state final.
23 Gilbert Gilbert AZ 18-4-2 23
SEASON COMPLETE. Class 5A Division I state runner-up. The No. 7 seed was shocked by Mountain Pointe in the state final in PKs after going four overtimes without a winner.
24 Xavier College Prep Phoenix AZ 23-2-0 24
SEASON COMPLETE. Class 5A Division I state semifinalist. Xavier was upset by Gilbert in the state semifinals.

SEASON COMPLETE. North Coast Section Class 2A champion. Miramonte closed out a stellar season with a victory over Piedmont in the section final. During the regular season, Mramonte scored a 1-0 victory over 3A team California in the Tr-Valley Classic.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-North Coast Section Class 3A quarterfinalist. California's season ended with a loss to Foothill. All six California losses are to teams ranked higher in the region. California had a pair of regular season wins over Amador Valley, which showed well at the Nolan Showcase in Texas.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-San Diego Division I runner-up. Poway lost to top-seeded Torrey Pines for the third time this season in the section final. Along the way, Poway routed Patrick Henry.

SEASON COMPLETE. Class 5A Division I state semifinalist. Highland ousted Corona del Sol in the quarterfinals before losing to Mountain Pointe in the semifinals.
29 Corona Del Sol Tempe AZ 22-2-1 29
SEASON COMPLETE. Arizona Class 5A, Division I state quarterfinalist. Corona del Sol, the No. 2 seed in the Arizona Class 5A Division I state tournament, was upset by Highland in the quaterfinals.
30 Pearl City Pearl City HI 14-1-2 30
SEASON COMPLETE. Hawaii Division I third-place finisher. Pearl City's undefeated season ended with a state semifinal loss to Punahou. The team settled on a third-place match draw with league rival Mililani, which Pearl City defeated a week earlier.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-San Diego Section Division I semifinalist. Patrick Henry's season ended with a 3-0 loss to Poway.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I second-round finisher. Marina, which defeated Northwood in the first round, lost to San Clemente in the second round to end its season.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I first round participant. Northwood, the Sea View champ ahead of El Toro, lost to Marina in the opening round of the playoffs.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-San Diego Section Division III runner-up. La Jolla lost to regional power Cathedral Catholic in the section final.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Central Coast Section Division II runner-up. After finishing behind Mitty in league play, Presentation pulled off the playoff upset to reach the final where it lost to undefeated Burlingame.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Central Coast Section semifinalist. Mitty was upset by league rival Presentation in the section semifinals.
38 Ayala Chino Hills CA 14-5-3 43
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I second-round finisher. After knocking out Upland, Ayala's postseason was ended with a 2-0 loss to San Clemente.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I first-round participant. Upland, a national title contender the past two years, took a first-round playoff exit with a loss to Ayala.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-North Coast Section Class 2A runner-up. Piedmont lost to Miramonte in the section final.
41 La Mirada La Mirada CA 17-9-6 46
  SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division III co-champion. After twice getting routed by Mayfair, La Mirada played to a 1-1 draw with its rival to earn a share of the section crown. Mayfair, however, advanced to the California Southern Regional soccer championships, but La Mirada's season is finished.

  SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division III semifinalist. Santa Monica was bounced from the playoffs in a PK setback to La Mirada.
43 San Luis Obispo San Luis Obispo CA 26-1-2 48
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division III quarterfinalist. SLO's undefeated run ended with a 1-0 loss to Santa Monica in the section playoffs. The highlight to SLO's season was a victory over Central Section Division I champion Buchanan, which means SLO could still move up in the region rankings with a Buchanan loss in the Southern Regional playoffs.
44 Buchanan Clovis CA 28-3-0 15
SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I quarterfinalist. CIF-Central Section Division I champion. The Southern Section Division III teams had a leg up on Buchanan as the team was shutout by San Luis Obispo in the regular season and Mayfair in the SCR. Buchanan, locally, has won three straight section titles. The SCR showing helps put them in ranking perspective to the rest of the Southern California programs.
45 St. Francis Mountain View CA 19-4-4 40
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Central Coast Section Division I champion. St. Francis defeated Los Gatos 2-0 in the section final. During the regular season, St. Francis finished behind Mitty in league play.
46 Coronado Coronado CA 13-6-9 38
SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division II semifinalist. CIF-San Diego Section Division IV champion. Coronado's postseason run, which included a section title win over Bishop's, was ended with a 6-1 loss to Cathedral Catholic.

SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division III champion. CIF-San Diego Section Division IV runner-up. Bishop's shut out all three opponents (St. Margaret's, Visalia Central Valley Christian and Oaks Christian, to win the SCR title for small schools.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division IV champion. La Serna ended the season with a 15-match win streak. Its last defeat was to San Luis Obispo during the regular season.

SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division III runner-up. CIF-Southern Section Division V champion. Oaks Christian lost 2-0 to Bishop's School in the SCR final. On the local level, Oaks had tied four of the last five Division V finals before winning this year.

SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division III semifinalist. CIF-San Diego Section Division IV semifinalist. Parker had an upset win over Cathedral Catholic early in the season. In the postseason, Parker lost to Coronado in the sectionals (which in turn lost to Cathedral Catholic 6-1 at the SCR) and to Oaks Christian in the SCR.
