CIF-Southern Section Division I co-champion. Wilson won four major
tournaments this season and posted wins over six current FAB 50 teams,
three other teams that spent time in the FAB 50. Wilson split a pair of
matches with Cathedral Catholic, winning 3-0 and losing 2-1. The team
was led by Danielle Russell, a candidate for CIF-Southern Section Player
of the Year honors and Pepperdne-bound keeper Lacey Heck. Wilson allowed
only nine goals against a scheduled that included 11 FAB 50 opponents. |

to a rough start in December, became the surprise of March at the SCR.
The team knocked off then No. 1 Torrey Pines in the quarterfinals and
edged then No. 3 San Clemente on PKs before falling to current
top-ranked LB Wilson in the final. The Lancers ended the season with an
11-0-3 run in its final 14 matches. |
